The University of Kansas selected the firm as the Architect of Record, teamed with Gensler (Chicago) as Design Architect, for the new School of Business building. KU’s School of Business currently ranks in the top 12% nationally among public competition and is recognized internationally for its groundbreaking research programs and impressive curriculum. The new building brings the facilities in line with the quality of the education and research conducted at the university.

DYCHE HALL

Dyche Hall is an educational, research and museum building on the University of Kansas Campus. This project addressed the preservation of both 8,000 SF of interior and exterior assets of this historic building. The interior scope entailed renovating the seventh floor to improve the environmental conditions for private collections including reconstruction of some offices, insulating the roof and walls, installing new LED lighting and mechanical units, repair of plaster walls and repair and replacement of wood trim. Additionally, the removal of a non-historic panel ceiling to expose the original wood trusses which were stained and restored. The exterior scope of work undertook repairing and replacing materials, tuck pointing and stone on three of the four elevations, remain of plaster and brick detailing, repair and painting of cast-iron columns, and new Ludowici clay tile roofing matching the original.
