Since 1981, we have completed evaluations, planning studies and designs for over 20,000,000 sf of renovated facilities representing over $1 billion in construction value.

Our firm offers more than four decades of experience in the renovation, restoration, and conservation of historic structures, with successes such as the revitalization of historic structures like the New York Life Building in Kansas City’s downtown core and the rebirth of the J.Reiger & Co. Distillery in the Heim Brewery as iconic examples of the renaissance movement in Kansas City.

We have worked on over 100 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, of which we have worked on over 50 buildings in downtown Kansas City and Chicago. We can work in the messiest of conditions and have completed many successful transformations over the past 40 years.

Several of these projects are education buildings and facilities that were re-purposed and renovated. At the University of Kansas’ Dyche Hall, we addressed both interior and exterior preservation. On the Kansas City Art Institute’s campus, we completed a multi-phase project to completely renovate the exterior and interior of Vanderslice Hall. At the same time, at William Jewell College, we redeveloped the Pryor Center to enhance and expand capabilities. Additionally, a project that embraced an outdated building was the Judy and Glenn Fine Arts Building at Cottey College, which honors the traditional framework of the campus with the integration of existing Neale Hall.
