Focus Leader

GastingerWalker& is seeking a passionate and highly capable Focus Leader for our K-12 sector in Kansas City.  The ideal candidate for this position is someone who can educate and mentor GW staff, promote emerging research and technologies, foster GW team culture, display architectural and design expertise and develop client relationships. This role will be a leadership role in the firm and will entail collaborative strategic planning for the firm’s future. Consideration will be given to Licensed Professionals who meet the following:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Positive energy, driven and a commitment to design excellence, client satisfaction and project profitability

• Be able to foster great collaboration, cultivate team talent and be a mentor/role model

• Cultivate passion for design, progressive architectural solutions and sustainability

• Possess the ability and skills to build new clients and sustain existing relationships

• Maintain a high level of technical proficiency in the production of drawings

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Architect and Project Manager working on a variety of project types

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design

• Proficient in the use of REVIT and CAD computer modeling and rendering software

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As part of our team you will help create design solutions that elevate the human experience through design

• Lead and grow the K-12 sector in Kansas City and surrounding areas

• You will partner directly with the Project Team and Project Managers to ensure the financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, claim prevention, team collaboration and communication

• Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions

• Provide mentorship to other architectural staff

• Lead the project team to comply with all practice standards

• Supervise the design and technical development of the project

• Lead the team and work with staff to nurture client relationships

• Provide thought leadership internally within the firm, as well as externally with clients and the Design and Architecture industry

• Strategic planning for the future of the firm.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
