JUDY AND GLEN ROGERS FINE ARTS BUILDING
Nevada, Missouri | 30,000 SF | Master Plan/New Building/Tenant Improvements
A new fine arts building expands the creative space for the dance, music and art departments at this all-women college in rural Missouri. The expansion honors the traditional framework of the campus with the integration of existing Neale Hall. The three-story building reduces energy costs for the school by incorporating solar power energy, energy-efficient design, and a large communication atrium which allows for an abundance of natural sunlight. An enclosed bridge creates a convenient indoor link between the new art building and the administration building.
Nevada, Missouri | 11,000 SF | Renovation
The college was limited within their existing buildings to create a student centric gathering space. Through creative planning, we found a solution by excavating around the church, anchoring the center of campus and turning the basement level into the new Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Campus Life. This project was an 11,000 SF renovation to create a space focused on education and life success. The college wanted to foster connections across campus with embracing indoor and outdoor spaces that focus on comfort and safety for student interactions. “Connect” was the theme for the fundraising campaign for the project of which GastingerWalker& assisted by providing imagery and project story information.
