DREAMSCAPE IIMMERSIVE AT AMC NORTHPARK

Dallas, Texas | 5,300 SF | New Prototype/New Work/Tenant Improvements

Located in Dallas’ upscale NorthPark Center, Dreamscape Immersive at AMC is a location-based VR studio and retailer delivering next-generation virtual immersive experiences. The project transformed a small, narrow tenant space into a space that allows guests of all ages to experience free-roaming virtual reality in three standalone adventure pods. Like the virtual worlds that Dreamscape crafts, the space itself transports the guest from the real world to the virtual world. The design features a choreographed sequence of spaces that become more and more intimate, allowing the guest to experience a journey before gearing up and being transported to a new world. Every room, hallway, and turn was created to enhance the journey and departure from reality. the dreamlike quality of the space is enhanced with handcrafted finishes, custom paint murals, and a sophisticated theatrical lighting system. The resulting space combines the emotional power of Hollywood storytelling and the excitement of a theme-park ride to transport visitors into another world.

This project excelled in designing a full guest experience, from the head-turning and alluring entry to the custom pathway lighting and thrilling darkness of the auditorium. The lobby fully captures and magnifies the excitement for visitors of the prestigious pier in which the project is located. In addition to cutting edge technology upgrades, the renovation introduces new amenities to the theatre space, including new dynamic digital displays, a lobby bar and hot food concession menu.
